The opportunity to offer fully seasoned, heat-and-serve canned vegetables that celebrated the time honored tradition of slow-simmered, down-home Southern cooking was the catalyst behind the development of Glory Foods®, Inc., founded by the late William (Bill) F. Williams, with Iris Cooper, Dan Charna, and the late Garth Henley. The name Glory Foods was chosen to celebrate the excitement and joy of foods that offer warm, cherished memories of Southern cooking that exults the spirit - Good Taste for the Table, Good Taste for the Soul!®
Research revealed that while consumers enjoy eating greens, beans and peas, they dislike the preparation time involved in cleaning greens and soaking beans. Glory Foods seasoned canned vegetables represent a flavorful and convenient approach to old traditions. Cleaning greens and soaking beans are history!
Responding to the consumer’s desire for variety in frozen meals, Glory Foods® created a flavorful Southern recipe inspired selection of frozen entrees and side dishes. Glory Foods Savory SinglesTM, Savory AccentsTM and Savory Family SizeTM offers yet another meal planning solution for busy Mom’s and families on the go, with timesaving oven ready and microwaveable frozen entrees and side dishes for one or the entire family.
In 2001, Glory Foods established a Fresh Produce Division to market premium selections of washed and ready-to-cook fresh-cut bagged vegetables. The convenient-to-use line of bagged vegetables offers flavorful and healthy vegetables – quick nutritious meal solutions, versatility and a trusted brand name.
